Every year, we look forward to the famous Christmas TV adverts, which, despite our best efforts, inevitably make us all an emotional wreck.
The sentimental stories of bringing loved ones together during the festive season is one that we've never wanted more following a tough year living through the coronavirus pandemic. With the UK going into a national lockdown for the entire month of November, brands like Argos, TK Maxx, and Aldi clearly knew we needed the festive cheer a little early this year, airing their ads basically the week after Halloween.
Argos transported us back to the childhood nostalgia of circling, starring, or colour coding (we know some of you out there were colour-coding kids) the Argos catalogue with our Christmas wish list. TK Maxx also took an upbeat approach debuting "The Lil' Goat," who shows off a fabulous designer outfit bought by her parents because, like all of us, Lil' Goat has "had such a hard year."
Since then, we've been treated to Tom Hardy swooning over sprouts for Marks & Spencer, Rita Ora making an appearance for JD, and Snoop Dog's Christmas rap for Just East (which at this point, we can probably recite word for word we've seen it so many times).
