While he's more level-headed and serious than Lumiere, we wholeheartedly appreciate Cogsworth. He has good intentions, understandably wants stability, and is thoughtful throughout Beauty and the Beast, showing his compassion for all the characters. From trying to help the Beast do something nice for Belle to famously saying, "If it's not baroque, don't fix it," Cogsworth is practical, helpful, and even a little humourous.
