Dolly Parton’s Holly Dolly Christmas Album to Launch 2 Oct

Dolly Parton's New Christmas Album Is the Good News 2020 Needs

Thanks to Dolly Parton, Christmas has come early for 2020. The Jolene singer is releasing her first holiday album in 30 years. Coming on October 2, Parton's A Holly Dolly Christmas will be available to stream throughout the festive season — including holiday classics, and five original songs written by the country music icon.

A Holly Dolly Christmas will feature carolling collaborations with Miley Cyrus, father Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Michael Bublé, and Parton's own brother Randy Parton. "I figured since everybody probably wouldn't get to celebrate Christmas as usual this year, I wanted to be creative instead of sitting around at the house this summer," Parton said in a statement to Rolling Stone. "So I put on my mask, gloves and practiced social distancing, as well as all of the wonderful musicians and singers, and we proceeded to put together what I think is some of the best work that I've ever done."

Dolly Parton's A Holly Dolly Christmas is currently available for pre-order. Until the official release, keep eye out for Dolly Parton's visual memoir, Songteller, coming later this fall.
