Fantasy role playing is getting the big-screen treatment in "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves." The second trailer for the blockbuster film, based on Hasbro's Dungeons & Dragons game, was released on 23 Jan., and it shows off the film's rousing cast — which includes Chris Pine [1], Regé-Jean Page [2], Michelle Rodriguez, and Hugh Grant [3] — with lots of actions and also lots of jokes. In the footage, Pine's character, Edgin the Bard, reveals that he accidentally helped a very evil person steal something, and now he's pulling a group together to steal it back. Watch the new trailer ahead.
The first trailer was unveiled back in July 2022 during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. The two-minute-and-15-second clip — filled with fire-spitting dragons, dangerous creatures, and unknown evil — is just a small glimpse of what viewers can expect when the movie premieres next year. Though it appears to be a spellbinding film with danger at every turn, Pine, during a Comic-Con panel, said it has a lighthearted tone and draws inspiration from "Game of Thrones," "The Princess Bride," "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," and "The Goonies," Variety [4] reported.
