When it comes to album sales, Ed Sheeran and Adele have always been in friendly competition. They're also both old school when it comes to giving fans vinyl albums. During a recent interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Sheeran revealed he rushed to finish and record Equals by July."There's like, three vinyl factories in the world, so you have to do it really [early]," he explained."And Adele had basically booked out all the vinyl factories, so we had to get a slot and get our album in there." He added that at the time, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, ABBA, and Elton John were also scurrying to get their projects on vinyl. Watch the clip below!

Adele didn't find out about Sheeran's release date of 29 Oct. until an interview with Heart Radio on 20 Oct. "I ain't panicking. He can panic!" she said with a laugh. Her upcoming album 30 is releasing on 19 Nov.. Sheeran has previously admitted to using Adele as his bar of expectations for his projects. He told GQ in Feb. 2017, "Adele is the one person who's sold more records than me in the past 10 years. She's the only person I need to sell more records than." Either way, we're getting great albums!

While promoting Equals, Sheeran has been sharing random tidbits about his life and fan encounters. One random fact is that he doesn't use public urinals — and the reasoning is unexpected. "My rule usually is I don't go to urinals," he said on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard on Monday. "There will be 20 urinals and I will stand at an end one and someone will come and stand right next to me just to have a look." C'mon guys.
