No, your eyes weren't playing tricks on you — The Umbrella Academy star Emmy Raver-Lampman really was a part of the ensemble in Disney+'s Hamilton. Raver-Lampman actually pursued musical theatre during college and was a part of the original Broadway cast of Hamilton as a member of the ensemble while simultaneously understudying Angelica Schuyler, Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, and Eliza Hamilton. She's also been in productions of Wicked as Elphaba and Aida as Aida, as well as the ensembles of Hair, Jekyll & Hyde, and A Night with Janis Joplin. As you can see, her singing résumé is stacked with some pretty powerful roles.
If you're not a theatre fan, Raver-Lampman's singing ability may come as a shock, given that you've likely only seen her as as Lily Lofton on Jane the Virgin, Rebecca on A Million Little Things, or Allison Hargreeves/The Rumour on Netflix's The Umbrella Academy, which marks her first major television role.
