From Albania to Ukraine, Listen to Every Single Song From the Eurovision Song Contest 2021

Anxhela Peristeri, 35, reps her nation with the pop-folkloric number "Karma". Anxhela rose to fame in her native country after twice winning Kënga Magjike, the biggest annual televised music competition in Albania.

Australian art-pop singer Jessica Alyssa Cerro, who performs as Montaigne, was originally slated to compete in 2020's contest. She gives it another go this year, hitting the high notes with a new song, "Technicolour".

Another artist getting a second shot to compete for their country this year is Austria's Vincent Bueno. Vincent is Austrian-Filipino and bases himself between both countries. After graduating from the Vienna Conservatory of Music, in 2008, he went on to victory on the Austrian musical television competition Musical! The Show.

Samira Efendi, born in Baku in 1991, appeared in the Azerbaijani version of The Voice in both 2015 and 2016. She returns to the rescheduled Eurovision this year with "Mata Hari", named after the Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan who was convicted of being a spy for Germany during World War I.

With their offering, "The Wrong Place", Belgium's contestant for 2021 is the band Hooverphonic, a well-known name to fans of the trip-hop, electro, and alternative genres. Formed in 1995, one of their biggest hits was "Mad About You", featured in the TV series Cold Case.

Victoria's video for "Growing Up Is Getting Old" playfully touches on Eurovision 2020, opening with a mock TV news bulletin reporting the historic cancellation, the sound of a ticking clock emanating behind the melody. At only age 23, she already has released 13 singles in her native Bulgaria.

Representing Croatia this year, Albina Grčić brings her fierce style to Eurovision for the first time. Teddy bears, decadent jewels, and ballgowns feature in the video for her offering, "Tick-Tock", guaranteeing a good time for viewers watching the semifinals.

Trying to bring it home for Cyprus this year is 26-year-old Elena Tsagrinou, who spent five years as lead singer of the Greek band OtherView before pursuing a solo career in 2018. Her Spanish-tinged song "El Diablo" is described as being about "falling in love with someone as bad as the devil".

A truly fun offering from the Czech Republic this year is Benny Cristo's "Omaga". After releasing two studio albums, Cristo was a supporting act for American electro-pop group Far East Movement and rapper Pitbull. He's also a competitive jiujitsu athlete and an animal-rights activist.

Fun fact: 2021 marks the first time in 24 years that a Danish entry has been sung entirely in Danish. Duo Fyr & Flamme are displaying their national pride and throwing their hat into the ring this year with their disco-tinged, '80s-themed bop, "Øve os på hinanden".

Singer-songwriter Uku Suviste, 38, is hoping to win big for Estonia this year in Rotterdam. Uku's credentials include leading roles in musical-theatre productions, competing on the Russian version of The Voice, and being rated Estonia's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2010.

Finland brings hard rock back to Eurovision 2021 with Blind Channel's "Dark Side". Formed in 2013 with three albums released to date, the group describe their musical style as "violent pop".

Barbara Pravi is taking up the mantle for France at Eurovision this year with her cinematic chanson, "Voilà". She's an accomplished songwriter who has written pieces for previous Eurovision entrants, including the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

Winner of the first season of X Factor Georgia in 2014, as well as last year's Georgian Idol, Tbilisi-born Tornike Kipiani was originally supposed to perform in the Netherlands in 2020 with his song "Take Me as I Am". Selected to represent again in 2021, he will instead present his touching ballad "You".

Hoping to bring home the top spot for Germany this season is pop singer Jendrik, from Hamburg. His goofy, ukulele-backed song with a positive message is self-penned and directed, lending a refreshing, unrefined appeal to an otherwise highly produced competition.

For being all of only 18 years old, Greek-Dutch singer Stefania has an impressive résumé. She represented Greece in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 and has since starred in Dutch television shows and movies for children. She's getting a second chance to represent Greece in the adult competition in 2021 with her song "Last Dance".

Over the past few years, Daði og Gagnamagnið has accumulated a bit of a following in frontman Daði Freyr's native Iceland and abroad, thanks to his silk voice, irreverent dance moves, and comfy-chic outfits. He's giving Iceland a great chance at success at Eurovision this time around with the nu-disco-tinged "10 Years".

Another accomplished songwriter, Lesley Roy has penned several singles for North American country and pop musicians, including a cowrite for Adam Lambert. Irish fans will be rooting her on this year as she performs her entry, "Maps".

Israel brought home the gold in the most recent Eurovision in 2019, so Eden Alene has big shoes to fill. Thankfully, she seems up to the challenge. Born in Jerusalem to Ethiopian-Jewish parents, the songstress first found fame as winner of The X Factor Israel in early 2018.

With "Zitti E Buoni", stylish Roman rock band Måneskin won Sanremo Music Festival 2021, the Italian competition that went on to form the basis of the original Eurovision Song Contest. They are bringing back the same tune in hopes of winning big in Rotterdam this year.

Latvia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 20 times since making its debut at the contest in 2000 and has won once, in 2002. Samanta Tina is trying her best to repeat that victory this year with her rap-tinged "The Moon Is Rising".

Coming out of the capital of Vilnius, Lithuanian pop-rock band The Roop have attempted to compete in Eurovision three times, making the cut in 2020. They finally get their shot at victory in Rotterdam with "Discoteque". Dig the yellow suits!

Another fresh-faced contestant this year is Malta's 18-year-old Destiny Chukunyere, who comes to Eurovision with her righteous offer, "Je Me Casse". Destiny won Junior Eurovision 2015 and was subsequently given a "yes" by Simon Cowell two years later on Britain's Got Talent in 2017.

Moldova's Natalia Gordienko is notable for being one of only two musicians performing in 2021 to have also competed in the main Eurovision competition a year prior. Having represented Moldova in 2006 with the song "Loca", she finished in 20th place. Another chance is hers in Rotterdam this time with "Sugar".

Vasil Garvanliev's ballad "Here I Stand" shows off his impressive pipes in this soaring attempt at victory for North Macedonia. First discovered busking on the street at age 7 by a Macedonian composer, Vasil eventually immigrated to America with his family, where he continued his musical training.

Andreas Andresen Haukeland, performing as TIX, is a Norwegian musician, record producer, and songwriter. He has Tourette syndrome and was bullied as a child for the involuntary movements characteristic of the condition. He has risen above this all, literally, donning wings for his song "Fallen Angel".

Rafał Brzozowski is Poland's hopeful for Eurovision 2021, and he'll be singing "The Ride". He got his start in the first season of Poland's version of The Voice and went on to cohost the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The Black Mamba are giving a vintage vibe with their 2021 offer for Portugal, "Love Is on My Side". Their combination of blues, soul, and funk reflects their cross-continental origins, with members coming from both Portugal and Brazil.

Roxen, 21, is back after the competition's cancellation last year, representing Romania with a new song, "Amnesia". In 2019, her debut single, "Ce-ți cântă dragostea," peaked at No. 1 in her home country.

Russia has a good shot at taking it all this year with Manizha's "Russian Woman". The Russian-Tajik singer has utilised her platform to become an outspoken activist against domestic violence, media-imposed beauty standards, and homophobia.

San Marino has placed their hopes for victory in Italian-born singer Senhit with her song "Adrenalina". Senhit also represented San Marino at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, placing 16th out of 19 in one of the semifinals.

An all-women pop-R&B trio bring the fun for party-ready Serbia with their song "Loco Loco". Consisting of three members — Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić, and Ksenija Kneževic — Hurricane was all set to perform last year at Eurovision 2020 before its cancellation.

A second song titled "Amen" appears in the competition in 2021, this time sung by Ana Soklič, who is competing for Slovenia. Slovenia has participated in 22 editions of Eurovision but has yet to take home the grand prize.

Before embarking on a solo career, Blas Cantó was a founding member of Spanish boy band Auryn. He's giving it his best shot this year in Rotterdam with the love song "Voy a Quedarme", which translates to "I'm going to stay".

Talented singer Tusse overcame the odds and managed to rise to musical prominence after coming to Sweden alone as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo at age 13. Just four years later, he was crowned Swedish Idol 2019. Check out his offering, "Voices".

Gjon Muharremaj, known as Gjon's Tears, will be performing for Switzerland this year with the French-language "Tout l'Univers". He apparently acquired his unique stage name after impressing his grandfather as a child while singing him the Elvis Presley hit "Can't Help Falling in Love".

Surinamese-born Jeangu Macrooy is winning fans all over the Netherlands, Suriname, and increasingly in Belgium, France, and Germany. Jeangu takes on the pressure of singing for this year's host country with his colourful "Birth of a New Age".

Here we go, people, our hometown boy! Singer-songwriter James Newman hails from the Yorkshire Dales and took home the BRIT Award for British single of the year in 2014 as a cowriter for the song "Waiting All Night", by drum and bass band Rudimental. Let's cheer him on in Rotterdam with his single "Embers".

Last but certainly not least is Ukrainian folk-electro band Go_A. The band's name means "return to the roots", and they're proudly bringing their sound to the competition in 2021 with the tune "Shum". This is the first time a song sung entirely in Ukrainian has made it to the Eurovision stage.
