Where Is Winter Love Island 2020 Being Filmed?

The Winter season of Love Island UK will be filmed in a brand new villa in South Africa. In the 2019 finale episode, Caroline Flack revealed they would be heading to Cape Town to catch some Winter sun, and Iain Sterling confirmed it when speaking on Lorraine on Aug. 2.

It was announced on Dec. 12 that Caroline Flack will not return to host the Winter edition of Love Island, and a replacement host has not yet been confirmed. Thankfully, Iain Sterling is definitely bringing his witty banter to the new season, he confirmed in the same interview on Lorraine. Let's be honest: it wouldn't be Love Island without his cackle-inducing commentary.

At this point, any chatter about who will be entering the Love Island villa is purely speculation. Early rumours suggest that Scottish footballer-turned-model Jay Munro might have signed on for the Winter season, but ITV is yet to confirm.

As for when it will be filmed (and air on ITV2, just like previous Summer seasons of the show), Love Island will kick off on ITV2 from Jan. 12, 2020.
