The cast for Showtime's First Ladies anthology series is rounding out very nicely! After it was first announced that Viola Davis will be portraying Michelle Obama [1] in the upcoming drama series produced by Lionsgate and JuVee Productions, a few other stars have jumped on board. Gillian Anderson and Michelle Pfeiffer [2] will be playing political icons Eleanor Roosevelt and Betty Ford, respectively, and it was just recently announced that O-T Fagbenle has signed on as Barack Obama.
While a premiere date still has yet to be revealed, the show — which was created by Aaron Cooley — will focus on the reframing of American leadership [3] through the eyes of women who have been "at the heart of the White House." Production is expected to begin soon. See who else is on board ahead.
