Watch Blumhouse's Freaky Trailer

Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton’s Horror Film Is Like Freaky Friday (With a Killer Twist)

If you've ever thought, "Hey, The Hot Chick would've been better with a serial killer" then Blumhouse's Freaky is basically your perfect film. In the movie, a young high schooler named Millie Kessler (Kathryn Newton) is just trying to survive senior year when she becomes the target of Blissfield's infamous serial killer, The Butcher (Vince Vaughn). Due to The Butcher's mystical ancient dagger, the pair swap bodies and only have 24 hours before the change is permanent. However, The Butcher seems to like his new life while Millie has to convince her friend's she's not actually the middle-aged maniac they see.

The trailer is giving us everything we could want from a horror comedy, including creative deaths and fresh take on an old trope. Which isn't surprising seeing as the film's writer and director, Christopher Landon, is the same person behind Happy Death Day. Vaughn really shines as Millie's version of The Butcher. Seeing him pretending to be a 17-year-old girl in a middle-aged man's body was almost perfection. We can't wait to see just how freaky their Friday gets when Freaky premieres on Friday, Nov. 13.
