The commercial, which takes place "a few years ago," shows Stefani on a video call with Adam Levine asking him to set her up with someone new. While she lists off all the things she's looking for in a man — including someone from another country, cultured, and not threatened by a strong confident woman — Levine hears things completely differently due to his spotty service. As a result, he ends up playing matchmaker for Stefani and Shelton. It all worked out in the end though, since Stefani and Shelton are now engaged [2]!
