A classic Halloween [11] movie for kids, Don't Look Under the Bed is a light spin on the Boogeyman. Smart and generally a non-believer, Frances McCausland soon finds the Boogeyman wreaking havoc on her life and must now rely on her brother and his imaginary friend to help her.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

For a Tim Burton fix, put on The Nightmare Before Christmas, a Halloween [13] and Christmas classic! Pumpkin King Jack Skellington discovers Christmas and wants to spread the holiday cheer, but his nightmarish plan involves kidnapping Santa among other things.

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S

Now that zombies no longer crave brains, Seabrook High finds itself a brave new world for the integration of zombie and human high schoolers in this quirky sci-fi and coming-of-age film. Oh, and it's a musical as well! Horrifying isn't quite the word we'd use to describe this movie (and its sequel), but it'll definitely give you those spooky season vibes [18].

Return to Oz

A darker sequel to The Wizard of Oz [21], Return to Oz follows Dorothy when she has returned home to her aunt and uncle, both of whom believe that she may be hallucinating. Just as she's about to receive electrotherapy, Dorothy finds herself back in Oz, where her friends have been turned to stone. And so, she must come up against a wicked princess and king to rescue them.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Who says G-rated movies can't be a little creepy? A classic that features an old cemetery and Headless Horseman, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad joins "The Wind in the Willows" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" in this double feature. In the latter, a young man named Ichabod finds himself at a Halloween [23] party trying to win the love of an heiress named Katrina Van Tassel, but finds himself in a spookier situation as the night goes on.

The Haunted Mansion

Based on the Disneyland ride of the same name, The Haunted Mansion is a silly spooky treat that stars Eddie Murphy [33] as Jim Evers, a workaholic real estate agent. During a family holiday, Jim, generally a nonbeliever when it comes to the supernatural, brings his wife and kids up to a creepy mansion to make a business deal. Things don't go as planned when a storm traps them there, and the Evers get caught up in the manor's curse.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Pirates aren't generally spooky, but the very first Pirates movie is a terrifying masterpiece. Jack Sparrow and Will Turner join forces to rescue the fair maiden Elizabeth and retrieve Jack's ship — where people turn into creepy skeletons under the moonlight due to a curse.

Mom's Got A Date With a Vampire

The Hansen kids find themselves grounded, so they unknowingly set their mother up with a vampire to sneak out of the house. The youngest Hansen is sure that their mother's date is a vampire, so the kids end up meeting with none other than Van Helsing to sort out the situation. In this cult classic, you might recognise familiar TV stars such as Caroline Rhea, Charles Shaughnessy, and Robert Carradine.

The Scream Team

In The Scream Team, Ian and Claire return to their father's childhood home for their grandfather's funeral. While in town for the Halloween [40] Festival, the kids discover that the house is full of ghosts who need to redeem themselves before getting into the pearly gates of heaven.
