Can we all take a moment to appreciate the legend that is Hannah Waddingham? The "Ted Lasso" actor took to the stage at the Liverpool Arena to cohost the semifinal and final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest and, quite frankly, stole the show. Not only did she flex her incredible singing voice during the BBC One extravaganza, but she was the epitome of professionalism throughout the competition and spoke fluent French while doing so.

When it was announced that the mum-of-one would be co-presenting Eurovision earlier this year, legions of fans took to social media to express their excitement. And she was trending again on 9 May as she hosted the first of two semi-finals alongside "Britain's Got Talent" judge Alesha Dixon and Ukrainian singer, Julia Sanina. One fan tweeted: "hannah waddingham might be one of my favorite eurovision hosts ever". Another added: "I would walk over hot coals for Hannah Waddingham. A talented Queen."

For the occasion, Waddingham, who plays AFC Richmond's owner Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV+ show, wore a spectacular rainbow-coloured gown complete with added fabric floating from her shoulders to create a caped effect. With her hair perfectly styled into retro waves and a side parting, and flawless makeup, she oozed Hollywood glamour. As she explained some of the voting rules, she spoke fluent French before adding in English: "You see, Europe, some of us Brits do bother to learn another language!" Rylan Clark, who was in the commentary box with Scott Mills, responded: "Go on, girl!" Our thoughts exactly! In addition to her bilingual presenting, Waddingham showed off her extraordinary vocals as she mimicked being in a rockband by singing a high note and playing the air guitar. For the second semifinal, she wowed again in a yellow boned Suzanne Neville strapless dress and, for the grand final on 13 May, she stunned in a purple sequin off-the-shoulder gown with wavy hair.

The week-long Eurovision celebrations have taken place in Liverpool, on behalf of Ukraine, and have been hailed as a real celebration of inclusivity. Dixon even performed a rap as she returned to her roots, which was decidedly better received than Ariana DeBose's opening rap at the BAFTA Awards in Feb.

The presenting trio were joined by Graham Norton for the Eurovision final on Saturday, 13 May. As celebrity Eurovision fans like "The Last of Us"'s Bella Ramsey got in the spirit, Eurovision mania has taken over the UK. And what a week its been!
