The Happy Endings Cast Just Reunited in Character, Further Fueling Our Reboot Wishes

Could 2020 be the year of Penny? After watching the Happy Endings cast reunion on July 20, it sure seems like it. Eliza Coupe (Alex), Elisha Cuthbert (Jane), Zachary Knighton (Dave), Adam Pally (Max), Damon Wayans, Jr. (Brad), and Casey Wilson (Penny) joined up virtually for an in-character table read over a Zoom video call.

The reunion delivers a storyline that was actually meant for the ABC show's fourth season, but never came to be. The series was sadly cancelled in 2013, but seven years later, fans finally get a glimpse of the spontaneous wedding between Penny and Max. I wouldn't call this a shocking twist for these two characters, but it's a hilariously welcome surprise nonetheless. In addition to delivering laughs, the Zoom call also doubles as a fundraiser for Colour of Change and World Central Kitchen.
