Everything We Know About Harry Styles's New Album, "Harry's House"

29/03/2022 - 12:10 PM

It seems like it was just yesterday Harry Styles released his sophomore album "Fine Line," [1] and here we are with a third album on the way [2]. In actuality, it's been nearly two and a half years since "Fine Line" came out, and we've all been through a hell of a lot during that time. Styles definitely stayed busy, filming a couple movies, going on tour, and putting together his forthcoming album. Throughout all of this, he's only managed to grow in popularity, drawing in more fans every day.

Styles is usually pretty quiet on social media, but his Twitter [3] and Instagram [4] lit up on March 23 when the announcement for his new album came through (and almost immediately earned several million "likes" on each platform), sending Harries into a spiral of anticipation frantically pulling together every penny to buy all the merch and concert tickets that we know are coming. On 28 March, he announced the first single, "As It Was," would be released 1 April. While we don't have a ton of info yet on Styles's third album, we are bringing you every shred that we have so far. Stay tuned for more, friends!

What Is Harry Styles's Third Album Title?

Styles's forthcoming album is called "Harry's House." As a notoriously private person, Styles hasn't revealed the inspiration behind the name (and he may never). His first album was self-titled "Harry Styles," and the second album was called "Fine Line," with a track on the album of the same name.

The announcement for "Harry's House" came with a trailer, which sees Styles enter a theatre and walk on stage as a set shaped like a house is lifted up around him. It feels like it could mean he feels at home on stage. He's said many times during his concerts that being on stage performing is his favourite thing [5] to do, so calling the stage his home makes sense.

"Harry's House" Cover Art

With the announcement of "Harry's House," Styles shared what is presumed to be the cover art. He's in cosy clothes in a room where everything is upside down. The album's been teased for the past couple weeks with a project called You Are Home. Newspaper ads started popping up [6] around the world with artwork that resembles the album artwork. They were created by illustrator Maggie Cowles [7]. A website also appeared [8] with a door on it, and each day, the door would open to a different backdrop. Now that we have the album art, we know the door opens to the room Styles is in [9]. A Twitter account [10] was also created and is sharing what fans presume to be lyrics from upcoming songs. There's also a Discord server and an Instagram, making this a complete social media takeover.

Styles did something similar when he released "Adore You" from "Fine Line" in late 2019. He and Columbia Records created a fake island called Eroda (Adore spelled backward, of course) and started sprinkling clues on the internet. It got plenty of people — even those outside the fandom — talking and trying to figure out what this could be. It all came together with the release of the song's video, which takes viewers to a faraway land called Eroda [11].

How Many Songs Are on the "Harry's House" Tracklist?

We don't have a tracklist quite yet, so it's unclear how many songs will be on "Harry's House." Styles's first album had 10 tracks and his second album had 12. It's probably safe to assume he'll stay in the same ballpark with a highly curated collection of songs. Though fans would be happy to see a much longer tracklist, it'll probably have 10 to 14 tracks.

Will There Be Any Collabs on "Harry's House"?

Styles hasn't been one to collaborate in the past. Neither of his first two albums included collaborations. While he's shared the stage with the likes of Lizzo [12], Stormzy [13], Stevie Nicks [14], and Kacey Musgraves [15], he hasn't actually recorded official collabs with anyone at this point.

That being said, there's a first time for everything. Could "Harry's House" be the first time we see him share a track with someone since becoming a solo artist? Maybe! Some fans have speculated he could collab with Maggie Rogers [16] after seeing how similar some of their promotional imagery is. This is one we'll have to wait and see on.

When Does "Harry's House" Come Out?

"Harry's House" is set to be released on May 20. Most likely a single or two will be out before that (likely before Styles headlines Coachella in April [17]).

How to Preorder Harry Styles's "Harry's House"

"Harry's House" is available to presave on Spotify [18] and Apple Music [19].

Will Harry Styles Tour "Harry's House"?

Styles loves the stage, so of course, he'll be touring this album. He already has dates in place for the UK, Europe, and South America [20] this summer as the continuation of his Love On Tour. The tour was originally scheduled to take place in 2020, but was impacted by COVID. After multiple reschedulings, the Love On Tour only travelled around the US in Fall 2021. Now the UK shows will take place in June, followed by Europe and then South America, wrapping up in December. Styles will most likely announce a new batch of North America dates to take place in 2023, and hopefully, he'll be able to return to Australia and Asia, as he hasn't been able to make it there yet because of COVID.

What Is the First Single from "Harry's House"?

On March 28, Styles announced on Twitter [28] that the first song, "As It Was," will be released on April 1 at midnight in the UK. The tweet included two photos of Styles's back, presumably from an accompanying music video. At the same time, posters [29] went up in cities around the world that read, "It's not the same as it was." The "You Are Home" account [30] had previously tweeted, "In this world, it's just us, you know it's not the same as it was," which could be a lyric from the song.
