100+ Horror Movies Streaming on Hulu Throughout October

03/10/2019 - 12:17 AM

Halloween [1] season is officially here, and Hulu has all the horror movies [2] you could possibly need to get through this spooky season (and then some). During October, the streamer is celebrating "Huluween" with new seasons of shows like Castle Rock and Light as a Feather. But if you thought Hulu was just for TV, then allow me to share this Halloween miracle with you: there are over 100 horror movies in its streaming library, including all-time greats like A Quiet Place, Rosemary's Baby, and Children of the Corn. Starting this month, the streamer is also going to be the exclusive home to Little Monsters, a brand-new blockbuster starring Lupita Nyong'o as a zombie-fighting elementary school teacher [3].

Get ready to scream (with joy), because Hulu's horror movie selection [4] is the grown-up version of getting a full-size candy bar in your treat bag.

Watch it now. [12]

The Amityville Horror

The original Amityville Horror remains a frightening tale of a family's dream house turning into a house of horrors in record time. Sure, the true story aspect has largely been debunked [13], but the Lutz family's movie nightmare is pure haunted house goodness.

Watch it now. [14]

The Amityville Horror (2005)

Remakes rarely live up to the original, but the 2005 version of The Amityville Horror has a secret weapon: Ryan Reynolds [15]. Before he suited up as Deadpool, he gave a convincingly dark turn as the demon-addled George Lutz.

Watch it now. [16]

The Amityville Murders

The Lutz family's story gets most of the attention, but in 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. really did murder his entire family in the home. This 2018 movie chronicles that lesser-known tragedy (with some creative licence, of course).

Guillermo del Toro directs the second instalment of the Blade franchise. This time around, the vampire killer is forced to team up with a vampire he hates in order to save the world.

Watch it now. [49]
