It's hard to believe Fuller House [1] is really over! On June 2, Netflix released the last few episodes for the fifth and final season [2] of the Full House spinoff. In true Tanner family fashion, it was every bit cheesy but still incredibly heartwarming [3]. I'll admit it, I cried a little at the end (OK, I cried a lot at the end). As DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy get ready for their joint wedding ceremony, they are met with a few obstacles. Their wedding venue is no longer available, the pastor who was supposed to marry them backs out, and worst of all, Kimmy and Stephanie are planning on moving away with their respective families after the wedding. What Happens to DJ and Steve in the Fuller House Finale?
After their wedding venue gets seized, DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie decide to have the ceremony in their backyard. Danny walks DJ down the aisle, before she shares beautiful vows with her high school sweetheart, Steve. As if the ceremony couldn't be any more perfect, they even have New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre officiate the wedding.
The day after the wedding, DJ shares a tearful moment with everyone in the living room as they say their final goodbyes. She reflects on how her family "taught her to live again" following the death of her first husband, before sharing a special moment with Kimmy and Stephanie. Just when it seems like they're gone forever, Kimmy and Stephanie come back into the house and reveal that they're not ready to leave after all and decide to stay.
What Happens to Kimmy and Fernando in the Fuller House Finale?
In episode 17, Kimmy and Fernando reveal that their sandwich shop Uncle Monty's is opening a second location in Palo Alto, and after the wedding they will be moving there with their daughter, Ramona. After learning the news, DJ forces everyone to live in denial about the move until after the wedding.
Even though the ladies face a few obstacles on their wedding day, everything eventually comes together in the end. Joey walks Kimmy down the aisle, before she remarries Fernando in front of their daughter, Romana. Even Kimmy's ex Duane (you know, the one who only says "whatever") is in attendance!
The day after the wedding, Kimmy is emotional about saying goodbye to her best friends, as is her daughter, Romana. She shares a tearful goodbye with DJ and Stephanie before ultimately changing her mind and deciding to stay in the Tanner family home.
What Happens to Stephanie and Jimmy in the Fuller House Finale?
With Fernando manageing the new Uncle Monty's in Palo Alto, Stephanie reveals that she, Jimmy, and their daughter will be moving closer to the original shop so they can manage it. While they will still be close, DJ is sad that they won't be living in the same house together.
During the wedding, Stephanie has Uncle Jesse walk her down the aisle before she professes her love to Jimmy in her vows. She even shares a precious moment with her daughter, Danielle, during the reception.
The day after the wedding, Stephanie prepares to say goodbye to her sister and best friend, but she's clearly not ready. When Kimmy and Stephanie announce that they're not leaving after all, Stephanie reveals that she's expecting her second child. After having troubles conceiving throughout the series, the news is a very sweet and emotional surprise for fans.
