There are so many streaming platforms now that it can be frustrating to sift through tons of info to try to figure out where a movie or TV show you love is streaming — or if it even is at all. Fortunately, there are several easy hacks to find out if a movie or show is streaming without having to log in to a bunch of accounts or crowd-source on social media.

The easiest way to look up the streaming status of your favourites is JustWatch, an independent site that functions as a search engine of sorts for everything that's available for streaming. It's unaffiliated with any of the streaming giants, and it's simple to use: just plug in the title of the movie or show you're looking for, and the site will pull up a list of where you can find it for streaming and for purchase or rental. Two separate rows denote places where you can buy versus places where you can stream, and users can also sort by price or HD availability.

JustWatch also offers more info than just where to stream each title. Sidebars on every page offer user ratings — from the JustWatch community and from IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes — as well as information on genre, rating, number of seasons, run time, and more. Plus, just like your favourite streaming platforms, the site also offers recommendations based on what you're searching for.

The streaming world is getting bigger by the day, but it doesn't have to be frustrating if you use the tools that are out there!
