Love, Death, and Coming of Age: Watch the Trailer For Hulu's Looking For Alaska

John Green's bestselling YA novel Looking For Alaska has gotten the onscreen adaptation treatment courtesy of Hulu, which has turned the heartfelt coming-of-age story into an eight-episode limited series. The first trailer introduces us to Miles "Pudge" Halter (Charlie Plummer) and his obsession with last words ("I go to seek a great perhaps"), as he enrols in a rural boarding school.

While there, he ends up making new, meaningful friendships with a group of guys, as well as falling in love with the titular Alaska (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser star Kristine Froseth). Unfortunately Miles also encounters profound tragedy, forcing him and his friends to grow up in ways they weren't expecting to. The exciting news for UK viewers is that BBC Three has picked up the rights to the show, and will be dropping all eight episodes onto their streaming platform BBC iPlayer BBC at 10am on Oct. 19.
