Josh Gad and Luke Evans are using their Disney magic to uplift others during the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, the Beauty and the Beast costars virtually reunited to belt the film's classic tune "Gaston" as part of ABC's The Disney Family Singalong special in the US. While Evans reprised his role as Gaston, Gad stepped back into his character, LeFou. They were also joined by award-winning pianist Alan Menken. Altogether, the trio delivered a number full of all the joy and energy we need right now.
The airing also included at-home sets from Julianne and Derek Hough, who performed Beauty and the Beast's "Be Our Guest," as well as Ariana Grande, who sang Hercules's "I Won't Say I'm in Love," and Beyoncé, who crooned Pinocchio's "When You Wish Upon a Star." Oh, and your favourite Disney Channel stars from different eras joined forces to perform High School Musical's "We're All in This Together." The program helped raise awareness of the organisation Feeding America, which is working to alleviate food insecurity among families and vulnerable members of communities affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
