It's crazy to think it's been 20 years since Heath Ledger wooed viewers as he skipped through bleachers singing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" in 10 Things I Hate About You. Unsurprisingly, the beloved rom-com scene was just as fun to film as it still is to watch. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Julia Stiles, who famously played Kat Stratford opposite Ledger's Patrick Verona, reminisced about that day.
"The whole day he was just phenomenal. Like, running up and down those stadium steps and nobody knew that he had this amazing voice. He just went full out, and I got to watch it," Stiles said about the late actor.
When asked about the rumour that it was her idea to have Ledger sing the song, she said that was sadly not the case: "It was definitely not my idea. I wish." Stiles added, "Is it a rumour? I didn't even know that. Cool. I'll take credit for it." Watch the heartwarming interview moment at around the four-minute mark in the video above.
