Justin Bieber's Best Collabs, From Working With Dan + Shay to Duetting With Drake

11/10/2019 - 11:25 AM

Let's get straight to the point: Justin Bieber [1] knows how to collab, and he knows how to collab well. While his own songs are straight fire independently (Need we remind you of "Sorry," "What Do You Mean?," "Love Yourself," "Boyfriend?" The list goes on . . .), Justin can lay down a collaboration track like there's no tomorrow — his catchy vocals (and verses) are just that good. From earth-shattering hits like Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" to "Baby" (featuring Ludacris [2]) to deep cuts like "Home to Mama," Justin's duet with Cody Simpson [3], and "The Feeling" with Halsey, read on to see (and listen to!) all of JB's best collabs. We promise you'll be glad you did.

"10,000 Hours" by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber

Thanks to "Speechless" (and performing it at Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's wedding [4]), Dan + Shay have become the go-to wedding singers, with their gorgeous harmonies and beyond-romantic lyrics. What better way to honour Justin and Hailey Bieber's nuptials [5] than with a tribute to the three singers' wives?

"I Don't Care" by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber

This track appears on Ed Sheeran's 2019 album, No. 6 Collaborations, [6] and the massive song [7] is absolutely everywhere. From the candid lyrics about being at a party where you don't fit in (we can particularly relate to Bieber's heartfelt line, "I'm crippled with anxiety, but I know this is where I'm supposed to be") to the song's ironic EDM beat, we love the candid, raw feelings this tune produces. Plus, it's another postmarriage ode to Hailey — at least on JB's end.

"bad guy (remix)" by Billie Eilish feat. Justin Bieber

To be honest, Billie Eilish [8] does "bad guy" all by herself on this insanely addictive track ("duh"), but the coolest part about this duet is the fact that Eilish has been a huge Justin Bieber fan for years [9], way before she was famous — so the fact that they collaborated together [10] is sick beyond words (and super exciting for her).

"Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber

There's no need to tell you just how gigantic "Despacito" was when it dropped — all you need to look at is the Billboard Hot 100 [11], where it tied Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey [12]'s "One Sweet Day" as the longest-running No. 1 on the chart. Damn.

"I'm the One" by DJ Khaled feat. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne

There are a whopping five artists on this song, but Bieber on the chorus is an undeniable standout.

"Where Are Ü Now" by Skrillex, Diplo, and Justin Bieber

This EDM track is one that never fails to get the party started. "Where Are Ü Now" was one of Bieber's first forays into club music, straying away from the R&B-pop the singer was known for — and it paid off big time.

"The Feeling" by Justin Bieber feat. Halsey

This song is a BOP. Probably our favourite track on "Purpose," Bieber's 2015 banger of an album, Bieber and Halsey are the perfect match for this all-too-relatable ("Am I in love with you, am I in love with you, or am I in love with the feeling?" the two croon) track.

"Home to Mama" by Cody Simpson and Justin Bieber

This oft-forgotten tune is actually one of our favourite Bieber collabs, especially because the two singer-songwriters sound so great together. We're obsessed with the raw, stripped-down nature of the song, and with its sweet lyrics, "Home to Mama" is a surefire winner in our book.

"Beauty and a Beat" by Justin Bieber feat. Nicki Minaj

Seven years later and we're still just as obsessed with this song as ever. Plus the music video — shot in one continuous take — is the pool party of our dreams.

"Right Here" by Justin Bieber feat. Drake

The Canadian artists lay it on thick in this slow jam-esque R&B track, featuring Bieber and Drake singing together on the smooth chorus.

"That Should Be Me" by Justin Bieber feat. Rascal Flatts

This country-pop video has 105 million views and counting on YouTube, and it's not hard to see why: Rascal Flatts's trademark twang is the perfect complement to Bieber's pop star, R&B-pop vocals. We love just how passionate both Bieber and the band get while belting out the crushing lyrics.

"Somebody to Love (Remix)" by Justin Bieber feat. Usher

There's a reason this video has almost half a BILLION views on YouTube: Featuring the trademark R&B talents of Usher [13] combined with Bieber's sweet vocals, there's no way "Somebody to Love (Remix)" won't get stuck in your head for days on end. That's just how good it is!

"Never Say Never" by Justin Bieber feat. Jaden Smith

Vintage Bieber + Vintage Smith = This insanely addictive poppy track. Bless the pop gods for this one, seriously.

"Baby" by Justin Bieber feat. Ludacris

Of course, there's no way this list could be complete without the OG collab: "Baby" featuring Ludacris. This was Bieber's breakout track that still undoubtedly holds up today.
