Line of Duty: Watch the Trailer For Series 6

Line of Duty’s Series 6 Trailer Is Only 1 Minute Long, but We Have at Least 20 Questions Already

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Line of Duty since its sixth season was announced, and for good reason. The end of series five left viewers with a host of unanswered questions, so fans' anticipation levels are high. The new season is set to land on our screens on Sunday, 21 March (which, admittedly, still feels like a world away), but there is light at the end of the tunnel, because BBC finally released the trailer we've all been waiting for.

One of the very first lines in the trailer is "whoever did it's gotten away with it", which already leads us to believe that whoever "it" is is certainly not going to be getting away with it for long. The sixth series sees a few new additions to its already stellar cast, and in the trailer we spot Kelly Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Andi Osho — all of whom seem to play major roles in this new storyline.

Adrian Dunbar, who plays superintendent Ted Hastings, shared a glimpse into what viewers can expect of the new series, on The Graham Norton Show. He said that "18 months have passed, so the landscape has completely changed. We are starting from a place that the audience will probably find a bit shocking at first. Things and people have been moved around, so the first episode is going to be one of those 'head-wrecks' for the audience." We cannot wait.

Line of Duty series six will be available to watch on BBC One from Sunday, 21 March, at 9 p.m.
