Former Bachelorette [3] Kaitlyn Bristowe is jumping into the music game. Fans who follow Bristowe on Instagram or listen to her podcast, Off the Vine, already know she can sing, and in the past, she's mentioned plans of a potential single. On Thursday, she officially released her first song, "If I'm Being Honest," a track she said has been "collecting dust for over a year." In an Instagram post announcing the news, she wrote, "If I'm being honest, I didn't think I would ever release this song. I was too afraid, insecure, and kept doing the classic 'what if'. I don't know who needs to hear this but f*ck the what ifs. This uncertain time has shed light on how important time is."
The song has a pop-country feel to it, and in her Instagram caption, Bristowe thanks Jennifer Denmark and Savannah Keyes for helping her write it. Meanwhile, Bristowe's comments are flooded with fans and other people in Bachelor Nation showing their support. Chris Harrison himself posted a sweet message to Bristowe, writing that he loves the song and adding, "Kaitlyn, you sat in my house over a year ago and told me about this dream. I'm so proud of you pushing fear aside." Fellow Bachelorette leads Ali Fedotowsky, Becca Kufrin, and JoJo Fletcher shared how proud they are of her, too, with Fedotowsky calling it her "new Summer song."
