Little Mix just won best UK and Ireland act at the 2021 MTV European Music Awards. The girl band had some pretty strong competition for the category this year being nominated alongside Dua Lipa, Dave, Ed Sheeran, and KSI, but still managed to take home the crown.

The band weren't able to attend this year's ceremony given that Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards recently became first-time mothers, but Jade Thirlwall accepted the award via video, saying, "Thank you so so much, it's amazing to win best UK and Ireland act again . . . We can't believe it. We're so gutted we can't be at the show tonight, but thank you so much to MTV and all of our incredible, incredible fans for this award. It really does mean the world to myself and the girls." Little Mix also commented on the news on Twitter, sharing a tweet that read, "Jxoswkdocokwwnxici we won!!!!!! Thank you so much. we love you and are so grateful".

It goes without saying that Little Mix have had a pretty special year, with two out of three band members giving birth, hitting their 10-year anniversary, being commemorated as wax figures in London's iconic Madame Tussauds, and releasing their greatest hits album, Between Us. It comes as no surprise that the girls have been voted this year's best UK and Ireland act, and we're over the moon for them.
