Selena Gomez's Netflix Docuseries Shows the Constant Fear of 8 Undocumented Families

As the executive producer of Netflix's Living Undocumented, Selena Gomez [1] is sharing the heartbreaking stories of immigrant families. In the trailer for the upcoming docuseries, eight undocumented families from all over the world share their stories as they live in constant fear of being deported [2] and uprooted from their lives in America. "How horrifying that at any moment you could be stopped, detained, and forever separated from your family," someone says in the trailer.

Gomez shared a clip from the trailer on Instagram [3], expressing how much it means to her to work on this project. "I am so humbled to be a part of Netflix's documentary series Living Undocumented," she wrote. "The immigration issue is more complex than one administration, one law or the story you hear about on the news. These are real people in your community, your neighbours, your friends — they are all part of the country we call home. I can't wait for you guys to see this and hope it impacts you like it impacted me."

The six-episode documentary series, Living Undocumented, premieres on Netflix on Oct. 2. Watch the trailer above.
