Lizzo Documentary Set to Debut on HBO Max This Fall

Lizzo's Life and Career Is Getting the Documentary Treatment

A new Lizzo documentary is coming to HBO Max. The three-time Grammy winner announced the upcoming project during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentations in May.

"Growing up, I never dreamed I'd get to experience all of the things I've accomplished in my life, and I'm just getting started," the 34-year-old singer said in a press release. "I'm so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max. From 'Cuz I Love You' to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album 'Special,' y'all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process. It takes ten years to become an 'overnight success,' and hopefully, I can inspire other young creatives to keep going."

According to HBO Max, the documentary will centre around "the journey of a trailblazing superstar who has become the movement the world desperately needed just by being herself." It will share the inspirational journey of Lizzo's "meteoric rise with an intimate look into the moments that shaped her hard-earned rise to fame, success, love, and international stardom." An official trailer still has yet to be released, but the project is expected to debut this fall.

Following the release of Lizzo's "Watch Out For the Big Grrrls" reality show in March, the singer is currently gearing up to drop her fourth studio album, "Special," on July 15. There currently isn't a tracklist available, but according to iTunes, the album will consist of 12 songs, including "About Damn Time." Clearly, Lizzo is booked and busy!
