Tommy Dorfman and Rainey Qualley: Friends

Just like Elle and Oscar, Qualley and Dorfman are also pals in real life. In fact, they used Dorfman's home to shoot all of their scenes. "I love working with Tommy, he's so talented and just one of my best friends," Qualley told Brief Take in an interview. "Tommy has been one of my good friends, and playing best friends with him came pretty naturally. It was fun too because we were able to improvise and play with each other."

Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson: Married

The second real-life couple on the show are Odom Jr. and Robinson. The pair first met in 2008 when they worked together on the production of Once on This Island, and eventually, they tied the knot in December 2012. Five years later, they welcomed a daughter named Lucille in April 2017.

"We just couldn't pass up the opportunity to make some art about this time. I mean, it's how we process trauma and grief and even joy," Odom Jr. told the Today show. "We were really grateful to have something to work on right now."
