Laura Whitmore Returns to "Love Island" to Present Series 8

Laura Whitmore Will Return to "Love Island" For Series 8

"Love Island" is set to return for its eighth series this summer, and while we don't have a confirmed location or launch date yet, there are a few things we now know for sure. For one thing, ITV has confirmed that it'll be changing the location of the iconic villa, and quite possibly scrapping the villa as a base altogether. Additionally, it's been confirmed that Laura Whitmore will return as the show's presenter for series 8.

Fans of the show will know that the villa is probably one of the most important aspects of "Love Island", so it's a big deal that ITV is finally switching things up. It's not clear as to how this will affect the Casa Amor twist that was introduced back in series three, but it comes with a whole host of other changes that are reportedly due to be introduced in the upcoming iteration.

In the past, "Love Island" has been critiqued for a number of reasons. In particular, the show has continually proven its lack of sexual and racial diversity and inclusivity, as well as its treatment of Black women. In addition to this, the show has a track record of disregarding the mental health and well-being of its contestants. As a result, viewers are interested to see what changes can be made and, more importantly, what changes will actually be made, before they stop watching the show altogether.
