Maisie Williams Critiques Game of Thrones Ending

Maisie Williams Rewatched "Game of Thrones" and Accepts it "Definitely Fell Off at the End"

She starred in all eight series of "Game of Thrones" but even Maisie Williams has now agreed with critics that the show's finale left little to be desired. Williams, who played Arya Stark for eight years, was speaking on her brother's Twitch channel on 23 Oct. when she revealed she'd finally rewatched the epic show three years after the last episode aired. Her brother, Talfuin, went on to ask what she thought . . .

"It definitely fell off at the end," she laughed. "But it started really strong." It seems that Williams is in agreement with many "Game of Thrones" fans who were left reeling at the ending. So much so, that a petition at the time garnered almost 2 million signatures demanding season eight be rewritten.

Williams went on to reminisce over watching the earlier episodes and how she was taken in by the characters. "I was heartbroken when Ned [Stark] died and I knew it was coming," she said. Her brother, who referenced the "very cool" character his sister played, responded, "You were there!" As she laughed, she replied, "I know! For the first time I could really feel the story."
