Maisie Williams conquered an enemy far greater than any Night King could ever be: the spicy cauliflower wings on First We Feast's Hot Ones. The Game of Thrones actress is the latest star to tackle the challenge on YouTube host Sean Evans's show, and while attempting to hold back tears from the heat (she did not succeed), Williams dished on some behind-the-scenes tidbits on the Emmy-winning HBO series.
While making her way through the fiery, low-carb "wings," Williams revealed that she almost missed out on playing fan-favourite Arya Stark for a school trip. To be fair, it was a school trip to a pig farm, so we kind of get it. "My mom really put her foot down and I was kinda mad about it, I really wanted to go on that school trip," she explained. "I wouldn't be here today, you wouldn't want me on the show if I'd have gone to the pig farm!"
Thankfully, Williams went to the audition and brought the younger Stark sister to life. The actress also shared stories about the shenanigans that happened on set, mostly at the hands of the writers. Williams revealed that the writers would prank the cast by handing out scripts with outrageously fake scenes and wait weeks before giving up the gag. "They did one on Kit Harington where they said he got really aggressively mauled on the face and he'd have a huge disfigurement on his beautiful chiseled jaw," she recalled. "That was quite funny, poor guy."
Considering how melancholy Harington's Jon Snow already is, he definitely doesn't need to add the trauma of being mauled and disfigured on top of all that. Watch the video to catch Williams talk about being shouted out by Drake and Taylor Swift and slowly lose her mind as the heat of the wings drives her to tears and chugging down oat milk. From the looks of those shivers she randomly starts getting, it's probably smart to stay away from hot sauce in the near future.
