Did You Catch All of These Guest Stars in The Mandalorian's Season 2 Premiere?

02/11/2020 - 05:25 PM

The Mandalorian [1] kicked off its second season [2] with a new adventure on Tatooine, plus the introduction (or return) of some very important guest stars [3]. We got to meet a character or two who will certainly be important going forward [4] — both allies and enemies [5] — and got to catch up with an old friend from season one, all while battling a dragon on one of the most famous planets in Star Wars lore. How many of the episode's guest stars did you recognise? Keep reading for a complete run-down of the famous faces (and voices) who appeared in The Mandalorian's season two premiere!

John Leguizamo as Gor Koresh

You don't see his face, but that's Leguizamo's voice behind the shady alien mobster who tries to double-cross the Mandalorian in the opening sequence of the premiere.

Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto

Sedaris's character appeared in the first season, when she repaired the Razor Crest and bonded with the Child while the Mandalorian was making more money to pay her for the repairs. She's back again for the new season and speaks for all of us when she's cooing over adorable Baby Yoda!

W. Earl Brown as the Weequay Bartender

Character actor W. Earl Brown stepped into the heavy prosthetics to play the Weequay bartender in the season premiere. Brown tweeted a heartwarming thread [6] about his reluctance to work in prosthetics after a difficult gig on the early-2000s show Angel and how getting to be in the Star Wars universe (and reuniting with Deadwood co-star Olyphant) made it all worthwhile.

Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth

The Justified star joined the cast as the marshal Cobb Vanth, who keeps order in a small Tatooine town and wears a set of Mandalorian armor that bears a striking resemblance to someone we've seen before.

Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett

The biggest reveal of the new episode came courtesy of a guest star who appeared for only a few moments and didn't even speak. Although not yet confirmed in dialogue, it's heavily implied that the stoic, mysterious figure played by Morrison is, in fact, Boba Fett, the bounty hunter from the original Star Wars trilogy. Morrison played Boba Fett's clone "father," Jango Fett, in Attack of the Clones, so he's the natural choice to bring back this iconic character.
