The Mandalorian Season 3: Trailer, Release Date, Cast, Plot

Din Djarin Seeks Redemption For His "Transgressions" in the "Mandalorian" Season 3 Trailer

"The Mandalorian" season three is coming soon, and viewers finally have a closer look at what's to come. On 10 Sept., 2022, during the D23 Expo, Disney released the first teaser trailer, which reveals Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), and their continued adventures in the Star Wars universe.

In the footage, the Armorer (Emily Swallow) tells Din that he's no longer a Mandalorian because he removed his helmet. She also tells him that he and Baby Yoda are now a clan of two. Additionally, the footage features shots of Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto.

The show's next trailer arrived on 16 Jan., teasing a plot that will see the titular bounty hunter on a trek to Mandalore, where he hopes to "be forgiven for my transgressions."

Back in May 2022 at Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm announced that the new season would hit Disney+ in February, but the release date has since been delayed by a month. At the time, Lucasfilm screened season three footage, which POPSUGAR was on hand to see.

In the new trailer, Din proclaims his intent to go back to Mandalore to purify himself and regain his place as a Mandalorian. It seems that Bo-Katan will be one of his biggest obstacles in that quest.

Read on for everything we know about season three of "The Mandalorian," including the returning cast and release date.
