'Twas the night before November and as the clock struck midnight, Mariah Carey [1] awoke with a call from Santa declaring one thing: the holidays are officially on the way. But not only that, we smell some mulled wine and spiced apple cider new music on the way, too.

Carey has been teasing her Merry Christmas (Deluxe 25th Anniversary Edition) since September with various Instagram posts [2] announcing "MERRY CHRISTMAS is turning 25 and I'm celebrating by releasing a very special 2 CD Deluxe Anniversary Edition." To mark the launch date finally arriving, she posted a video to her Instagram with the caption "Breaking news ❄️." In full Halloween [3] attire, the video shows her going to sleep at 11:59 on Oct. 31 and waking (wearing her holiday pajamas) at midnight on Nov. 1. to a phone call from Santa. Cue festive vibes and Mariah replying by belting out "it's tiiiiiiime." At the exact same time, the singer also posted a countdown on her Instagram stories to 8 a.m. Eastern Time for the big launch. Will it be new music? Maybe a few celebrity cameos? We can hardly wait.

In the comments, celebrities expressed how they have also been eagerly waiting for Carey's go-ahead for all things holiday season. "CANT WAIT MARIAH. PLEASE LET IT BE CHRISTMAS SEASON! I WAIT WITH BAITED BREATH. I can't even buy my dogs Christmas sweaters until you say so," commented Ruby Rose [4] on one of Carey's posts last week.
