"At first I was sceptical," Rachel Brosnahan said while describing James Corden's mashup of her beloved The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel [1] with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but then the Late Late Show host pointed out the many similarities Midge shares with superheroes: "They both speak truth to power, they both have memorable catchphrases, and they both have daddy issues." Thus, The Marvel's Mrs. Maisel was born.
In the ridiculous spoof, the quick-witted character interacts with the likes of Captain America and Thanos as Corden directs. "This film is my follow-up to Cats [2]. I've got a reputation to live up to," he says at one point. "In hindsight, maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to base an entire big-budget blockbuster on a mildly clever, convoluted pun," Brosnahan adds. Well, they certainly give it their best shot. Enjoy it above.
