There are a lot of reasons to be buzzing about Sen. Kamala Harris [1]'s nomination as Joe Biden's vice president [2], and one of those reason is how much material it'll give Maya Rudolph for future Saturday Night Live [3] skits. It may seem weird to be excited about political sketches but it's 2020, so we're going to appreciate our joy in whatever form it comes in!

Rudolph portrayed the California politician three times on SNL last year and her run earned her an Emmy nomination [4], so obviously each appearance was more memorable than the last. Even Harris couldn't help but appreciate Rudolph's spot-on portrayal [5], responding to a skit by tweeting "That girl being played by @MayaRudolph on @nbcsnl? That girl was me [6]." Now that Harris is officially Joe Biden [7]'s pick for vice president and SNL is eyeing a possible studio return for their 46th season [8], it means Rudolph should get ready to pack her bags for Studio 8H once again! Since the actress has said that she's down for a comeback [9], we'll be replaying her greatest hits until there's we get more in the next season!
