Miley Cyrus Belts Passionate Cover of The Beatles' "Help!" For Global Citizen's Virtual Event

Miley Cyrus [1] delivered a mesmerising cover of The Beatles' 1965 hit "Help!" on Saturday. Rocking a blue gown, the 27-year-old singer performed at a vacant Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, as part of the Global Goal: Unite For Our Future event [2]. "Dedicated to those who are tirelessly working on testing, treatment and vaccines so all of us can come together in places like this empty stadium again," read a message at the beginning of the set. Cyrus also spoke with Norway's prime minister, Erna Solberg, about COVID-19's impact on marginalised communities [3] during the streaming event.

There were appearances from other stars, including Charlize Theron [4], who discussed how the novel coronavirus could affect poverty rates [5], and Billy Porter, who spoke on the importance of fighting for social justice [6]. Chloe x Halle, Jennifer Hudson [7], and John Legend [8] were also among the performers who took part in the virtual gathering.
