Netflix's Selena Is Nearly Here — Get to Know the Cast Members

Netflix's forthcoming series, Selena, finally has a premiere date, and we couldn't be more excited. On Dec. 4, we will get to see the long-awaited biographical drama, which tells the real-life story of Tejano music sensation Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, whose life was tragically cut short when she was murdered by her manager and fan club president, Yolanda Saldívar, in 1995. However, rather than focusing on the infamous murder, the Netflix series will follow the star's impressive rise to fame, as well as all the tough decisions her family made to help her achieve her dreams. Christian Serratos as Selena Quintanilla-Pérez

Best known for her role as Rosita Espinosa in AMC's The Walking Dead, Christian Serratos stars in the series as the titular Selena Quintanilla, a Tejano music star from Texas whose family worked hard to support her dreams.

Madison Taylor Baez as Young Selena

Newcomer Madison Taylor Baez appears in the series as a childhood version of Selena.

Ricardo Chavira as Abraham Quintanilla Jr.

Best known for his role as Carlos Solis in ABC's Desperate Housewives, Ricardo Chavira plays Selena's father Abraham, a former musician who took his daughter out of school and helped her pursue fame after recognising her talent.

Seidy López as Marcella Quintanilla

Actress and director Seidy López (who played the title role in the 1997 biopic Selena) appears in the series as Selena's mother Marcella, who also helped support her daughter's career.

Gabriel Chavarria as Abraham "A.B." Quintanilla III

Gabriel Chavarria — who you might recognise as Jacob Aguilar from Hulu's East Los High or Miguel Guerrero from USA Network's The Purge — plays Selena's older brother A.B., who would often perform with Selena and accompany her on the bass guitar.
