Outlander [1]'s season five trailer has dropped, and the Frasers are in trouble again. Although Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have finally reunited — and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) is now along for the ride — it appears as though their new lives at Fraser's Ridge are about to be upended. Establishing their clan [2] amid an intense political climate proves to be difficult as they are forced to make decisions that will forever change their lives — and the entire history of America. "Promise me you're coming back," Claire tells Jamie, as he presumably prepares for an upcoming battle.
Back in October, STARZ also released a short clip that hints at more time travel in the new episodes. "When this war you tell me about eventually comes, it would be safer in your time," Jamie says. A voice-over from Claire then declares, "It's safer in the future. It's time." What does this mean for the future (or the past)?
