Cameron Boyce Explores the Rock Scene in the Trailer For His Final Project, Paradise City

02/05/2020 - 06:24 PM

The first teaser for Cameron Boyce's final onscreen project [1], Paradise City, is officially here. The clip, which dropped on May 1, features the late actor as Simon, an aspiring rock star who finds himself enwrapped in the dark side of Hollywood. "Do you think that devil worship is real in Hollywood?" Boyce says in one scene. "Like the whole black magic, and all that stuff." His costar replies, "Oh, I definitely think there's good and evil spirits, and black magic is real."

According to Paradise City's Instagram account, a portion of the program's profits will be donated to The Cameron Boyce Foundation [2]. The organisation launched this past July, shortly after the actor died from an epileptic seizure [3] at the age of 20. "The series was filmed just months before his tragic passing," the show wrote. "He gave us an incredible performance as a young musician, band leader and aspiring DIY [4] executive in the music business. Cameron was a truly one of a kind spectacular talent. ❤️💙💜 Every scene he was written in was shot and completed in the first season."

The show, which is scheduled for a 2020 release, also stars Boyce's Descendants castmate Booboo Stewart [5], as well as Andy Biersack, Olivia Culpo, Fairuza Balk, Bella Thorne, Drea de Matteo, Mark Boone, Rhys Coiro, and Ryan Hurst. It's unclear which platform or network will house the series, but People reports that it's being shopped around by CAA [6].
