Fresh off of cleaning up at the Emmys [1] for creating, writing, and starring in Fleabag [2], Phoebe Waller-Bridge sat down with Seth Meyers on Late Night to discuss everything from the unglamorous realities of being a busy writer, to whether or not she'll ever return to the character who made her a Hollywood darling. In regards to the latter, there's hope! The catch? You have quite a wait ahead of you.
"I quite like the idea of coming back to her — well, me — when I'm 50, because I feel like she would have had, you know, more life then. God knows what she would've gotten up to," she explained. "And actually seeing a character like that in a later stage of life, I think, is exciting. But I think for now, she's been through enough! We've got to let her go!"
Now that Waller-Bridge is busy working on a number of other projects thanks to her $20 million deal with Amazon [3], she probably won't even have time to reprise her Fleabag role until then. Luckily there are plenty of other, similar shows out there [4] for you to obsess over while you wait.
