Rita Ora and Lewis Capaldi Collaborate on Uplifting Breakup Song "How to Be Lonely"

Rita Ora [1] released her first single of the year, "How to Be Lonely", on Friday, 13 March. Cowritten by Lewis Capaldi [2], the pair took to Twitter to announce the debut of their new "baby". "A baby has been born," joked Capaldi in a video posted by Ora, "and its name is how. to. be. . ."

"Listen to the song. Rita's made her money, but I'm new on the scene," Capaldi confessed [3]. "She flew in here in a helicopter, right? Me, I need the money, right? So, we got Rita singing this. You need to buy it, because I need to be set for life". Ora chimed in, "Don't disappoint , because, then you'll never find Lewis ever again."

At first impression, "How to Be Lonely" features cover art of Ora dripping in liquid gold. The song explores the complex emotions of a woman who wants to be loved but doesn't know how to be loved. The singer comes to realise that losing someone that she truly loves will show her the value of commitment.
