Meet The New Queens Battling It Out on Season 4 of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK"

Listen up, queens! The next batch of drag queen hopefuls has been Ru-vealed as we prepare for season four of "Rupaul's Drag Race UK". Each week, the 12 candidates will enter the Werk Room to face a series of challenges in a bid to avoid elimination in the all-important lip-sync battle.

There's an adult Bratz doll, ginger spice tribute, afro punk princess, and the first trans woman all hoping to be crowned the drag race superstar. Each week, their skills will be judged by Mama Queen RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, and Alan Carr. There is a whole host of amazing celebrity guest judges who will be joining the panel throughout the series as well, including Joanna Lumley, Alison Hammond, and Olly Alexander.

The first three series of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" have been streamed a huge 51 million times on iPlayer, and its success is set to continue. As we eagerly await the 22 Sept. premiere date for the new season, get up to speed on this incredible bunch of queens ahead.

Baby

The 25-year-old calls herself "London's afro punk princess". The youngest of five siblings led to the drag name Baby, and now she hopes to make her attention to detail see her take the drag race crown. "My drag is pretty, punk and Black. I love to represent my culture and I love playing with in the area where black culture and alternative culture meet," she says.

Black Peppa

Super-competitive Black Peppa performs in Birmingham. The 29-year-old quit her bank job in 2020 to take on the drag scene full time. Super creative, her drag name is inspired by a cartoon character. "Back when I was growing up in the Caribbean, my mum always grew chillies in her garden and she made her own homemade hot pepper sauce and so I decided to call myself "Black Pepper"," she says. "And later, I was inspired to change up the spelling after a chance watching of Peppa pig! I saw her hang up the phone on her friend because her friend could whistle but she couldn't. Ha! I thought to myself Peppa pig is the OG, and that is why I'm 'Black Peppa' with a twist!"

Cheddar Gorgeous

Dressed as a Mancunian bee, Cheddar Gorge, 38, dubs herself a "cultural icon". Having been on drag circuit for around 14 years, she is experienced, focussed, and ready to take on the other queens. "Growing up, I was a bit of a geek and I was enamoured by aliens, gods, goddesses and strange monsters and now in my drag, I like to harness the energy of science fiction, fantasy and magic!", she explains.

Copper Topp

Redhead and ready to go! Copper Topp, 38, from Cheltenham is the "feel good ginger of drag". With a love of pantomime and comedy, she is sure to bring the laughs to the show. She says, "There are four people who inspire my drag. The first is Victoria Wood and the second is Julie Walters. I'm obsessed with them. And the third and fourth has to be The Cheeky Girls!"

Dakota Schiffer

Dakota Schiffer is making herstory as the first trans girl to enter the Werk Room. The 22-year-old from Sussex looks to the supermodels of 1960s and 1990s as her inspiration and credits drag with helping her becoming the person she is today. "Initially, I struggled to embrace my feminine side and drag gave me the escape I needed to come out as trans and embrace all of my inner femininity," she says.

Danny Beard

Hailing from Liverpool, the 29-year-old has been a drag act for a decade. She wants to use her time on the show to transform as an artist and loves that she pushes gender boundaries. She reveals, "I love having a beard, mixing genders and putting them in the blender. My drag is about throwing the rulebook out the window."

Jonbers Blonde

She's worked as a backing dancer for artists including Years & Years and Jessie Ware and is now bringing her act to BBC Three. Jonbers Blonde, 33, is from Belfast and will be bringing the Irish flute with her. Putting herself firmly in the fashion category, she says, "I really do have the fashion skills, as I'm also a stylist. I have worked at Vogue International and I have been fashion editor of several magazines. I've also walked the runways in London and Paris."

Just May

Bold and brash, Just May is the 33-year-old powerhouse from Essex. She will certainly be bringing the Spice as she is a Geri Halliwell impersonator. "I wanted to do drag because Geri stopped being Ginger Spice and so I felt someone had to take over!" she explains. "Geri was always my favourite Spice Girl because she was the loud, bold, brash, bossy ginger one of the group and she just spoke to me on so many levels."

Le Fil

Bringing art and sculpture to the Werk Room, Le Fil, 36, is the "all singing, all dancing, Chinese pop star!" He has toured with former Spice Girl Melanie C and likes to bring his artistic eye to his performance and costumes. "I call my gigs 'pop sculptures with extras', because they're music gigs entwined with stories, and performance art," he says.

Pixie Polite

"Big, bold and beautiful" Pixie Polite has been doing drag for eight years. The 29-year-old from Brighton is inspired by Disney and Tinkerbell and brings some powerhouse vocals to the stage. "Before I started drag, I wouldn't have said boo to a goose but here I am now and I feel so incredibly confident. It has the power to transform you into the most fabulous version of yourself," she adds.

Sminty Drop

Sminty Drop, 23, describes herself as a "sexy cyber supermodel from outer space." Her look is a combination of Anna Faris in "The House Bunny" and Megan Fox in "Jennifer's Body" mixed with a Bratz doll and Doja Cat's "Planet Her". The drag queen from Lancashire got her unusual name "from me being on a night out and wanting to kiss some boys so I would always take some mints with me just in case! But, I'm also a very clumsy girl so I would always drop said mints on the floor so... Sminty Drop I became!"

Starlet

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, the 23-year-old now lives in Surrey. With a look inspired by glamour bygone eras, she explains, "My look is about exuding the vintage beauty and glamour of the silver screen. I'm a beautiful young rising star of Hollywood and all eyes are on me. I'm a living walking vintage movie star!"
