The new series of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs. The World" kicked off on BBC Three on 1 Feb., and it's been a pretty brutal competition so far. The synopsis explained that the series "will see iconic queens from different franchises and cultures competing in an international arena, showcasing their country's finest drag in their bid to become the Queen of the World," with the UK acting as the host country for this iteration.

As expected, the cultural melting pot of international queens has definitely changed the dynamic of Drag Race from the workroom to the runway, and already we've seen a few shocking twists to the typical format. Most significantly, the deciding factor for who is eliminated each week has been switched up by RuPaul, for better or for worse. Previously, RuPaul and the judges would choose which queens were the tops and the bottoms each week, with the bottom two contestants forced to lip-sync for their lives.

This series however, RuPaul and the judges deliberate on which queens are safe and which are not, before choosing two top queens of the week. The top queens go head-to-head in a lip-sync challenge, and the winner then decides which of the bottom two queens they'd like to send home. Naturally, this change has resulted in some intense conversations, the forming of alliances, and the opportunity to send home potential threats — even if they weren't deserving of it.

Read on to find out more about the status of each queen in the competition.
