SNL's Rap About Dating in a Pandemic Deserves to Go Platinum, Thanks to Megan Thee Stallion

Saturday Night Live [1] made its return for season 46 on Oct. 3, and it was quite the show. It brought the funny with its signature political satire [2] while also incorporating some powerful moments [3]. And for those who always enjoy a good SNL hip-hop parody, there was even a hilarious rap music video, featuring guest performer Megan Thee Stallion [4].

In the two-minute clip, Megan joins SNL stars Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, Pete Davidson, and Ego Nwodim as they muse about the difficulties of dating while wearing masks [5] amid the coronavirus pandemic. "What's up with the bottom of your face?" Thompson, Redd, and Davidson rap. "We've been dating for long enough, girl what's up with that?" But Nwodim and Hot Girl Meg, who drop some serious bars [6], have the perfect rebuttal for why going maskless is a bad idea. Watch the sketch above!
