"Sex Education" fans, it's about to get emotional. As we eagerly await season 4 of the Netflix show, which recently wrapped filming and is going to feature Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey's final appearance as Eric and Maeve, the OG's of the series reunited for a wholesome photo at the BAFTAs on Sunday, 19 Feb.

It was a big night for the "core four" as they have been dubbed by social media fan accounts. Mackey won the EE BAFTA rising star award, beating fellow nominee Aimee Lou Wood to bag the statuette. Yet, the closeness of the Netflix cast didn't go unnoticed. As Mackey walked to the stage to make her acceptance speech, Wood was spotted looking emotional, blew her a kiss, and mouthed "love you". No, we're not crying, you are.

The cast have come a long way since the first season of "Sex Edcuation". While Mackey was cast in the lead role in "Emily", Wood won critical acclaim for her performance in "Living" opposite Bill Nighy, Gatwa is the new Doctor Who, and Asa Butterfield starred in the Prime Video film, "Your Christmas or Mine?" Yet the four always show up and support each other. As they all attended the same BAFTA afterparty, they posed for a quick snap together proving they are all great friends off-screen, too. Gatwa added the caption: "Couldn't be prouder or more in love with each of these human beings! The way we SQUEEZED each other for about five minutes on sight". Fellow cast member Simone Ashley even reposted the photo on her own Instagram stories with a heart.

While the future of "Sex Education" is unclear, one thing is for sure: the cast's unbreakable bond is forever.
