The ongoing coronavirus pandemic may have delayed just about every blockbuster [1] planning a 2020 release, but that just means we have even more movies to look forward to in 2021. As well as all the long-delayed big-budget movies coming out this year, such as No Time to Die [2], The Woman in the Window [3], and Chaos Walking, among several others, you can look forward to some steamy new love stories hitting theatres and streaming services in 2021. While these release dates are likely still subject to change, here are all the hot-and-heavy new movies with 2021 release dates that are definitely going to make you sweat.
Malcolm & Marie
John David Washington and Zendaya [5] star in this Netflix drama as a film director and his girlfriend, who contend with revelations about their relationship following Malcolm's successful movie premiere. Malcolm & Marie [6] was written and directed by Sam Levinson, who created HBO's Euphoria [7], so you know it's going to be hot.

The World to Come
Based on Jim Shepard's story of the same name, The World to Come [8] is a 1850s pioneer drama that stars Vanessa Kirby and Katherine Waterston as Tallie and Abigail, two isolated farm wives who escape their boring domestic lives by starting up a forbidden romance with each other.

Deep Water
Based on Patricia Highsmith's novel and directed by erotic thriller aficionado Adrian Lyne, Deep Water [9] stars real-life couple Ben Affleck [10] and Ana de Armas as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a husband-and-wife duo who've grown bored with their marriage and decide to spice things up with dangerous (and eventually deadly) mind games. What starts as Vic giving Melinda to engage in affairs ends with several missing lovers and Vic as a prime suspect in their disappearance, and something tells us that divorce might have been a better choice.

Mothering Sunday
Set in the 1920s and based on the novel of the same name by Graham Swift, this British drama stars Josh O'Connor and Odessa Young as Paul and Jane, two lovers from different social classes who — after spending seven years as secret lovers — get together one last time before Paul marries someone else. Considering Mothering Sunday [11]'s scriptwriter, Alice Birch, also adapted Normal People, this one is likely to be just as steamy.

True Things
Adapted from a Deborah Kay Davies' novel, True Things [12] is a psychological drama starring Ruth Wilson as Kate, a woman whose humdrum existence is forever changed after a chance sexual encounter with a charismatic stranger (played by Tom Burke).
