Based on Patricia Highsmith's novel and directed by erotic thriller aficionado Adrian Lyne, Deep Water stars real-life couple Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a husband-and-wife duo who've grown bored with their marriage and decide to spice things up with dangerous (and eventually deadly) mind games. What starts as Vic giving Melinda to engage in affairs ends with several missing lovers and Vic as a prime suspect in their disappearance, and something tells us that divorce might have been a better choice.

Set in the 1920s and based on the novel of the same name by Graham Swift, this British drama stars Josh O'Connor and Odessa Young as Paul and Jane, two lovers from different social classes who — after spending seven years as secret lovers — get together one last time before Paul marries someone else. Considering Mothering Sunday's scriptwriter, Alice Birch, also adapted Normal People, this one is likely to be just as steamy.
