As part of the massive reveals of upcoming projects [1] at the 2020 Disney Investors Day, Marvel has officially revealed the full main cast of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. One of the most anticipated movies on the upcoming Marvel slate [2], the movie will star Simu Liu [3] as the title character, a martial arts master and the first Asian superhero to lead a Marvel movie. We're finally learning more about who will join him in his first movie, set for a July 9, 2021 release [4], even though the details of several character are still top-secret. Simu Liu as Shang-Chi

Liu, best known so far for his role on the sitcom Kim's Convenience, will lead the new movie as Shang-Chi, a martial arts master who gets drawn into the dangerous world he left behind when the Ten Rings terrorist organisation comes calling.

Tony Leung as Wenwu

Hong Kong superstar Leung is set to play Wenwu, aka the Mandarin, the leader of the mysterious Ten Rings organisation. The character was teased as far back as Iron Man 3, where the plot revolved around a "fake" Mandarin who, it was later revealed, earned the ire of the real deal for impersonating him.

Awkwafina as Katy

The popular comedian will appear in the movie as Katy, a friend of Shang-Chi who gets sucked into the dangers of his world and has to figure out how to make it through this unfamiliar landscape. Awkwafina also happens to be one of three Crazy Rich Asians stars to be cast in this movie — more in a moment . . .

Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan

Yeoh is, to put it simply, a movie icon, so it's especially exciting to see her on the cast list. She's playing Jiang Nan, a character whose backstory and role in the film has yet to be revealed. She returns to action-adventure films, the genre in which she rocketed to stardom, after starring in comedies like Crazy Rich Asians and Last Christmas over the past few years.

Ronny Chieng as Jon Jon

You probably recognise Chieng from his role as the over-ambitious Eddie Cheng in Crazy Rich Asians. He'll be playing Jon Jon, another still-unknown character.

Fala Chen as Jiang Li

Chen, best known for her roles in several Hong Kong drama series, will be playing the character of Jiang Li. American audiences got their first real glimpse of her acting talents in the HBO thriller The Undoing.

Florian Munteanu as Razor Fist

The Romanian boxer, who previously starred in 2018's Creed II, joins the cast as supervillain Razor Fist. In the comics, several different individuals have taken on the title of Razor Fist, but all of them have been pitted against Shang-Chi at some point in time. Marvel hasn't revealed yet which iteration of the villain will appear in the movie.
