Taylor Swift Carolina | Where the Crawdads Sing Trailer

Taylor Swift Debuts a New Song in the "Where the Crawdads Sing" Trailer

The new trailer for "Where the Crawdads Sing" has arrived! Adapted from the 2018 novel of the same name, the upcoming thriller follows a young North Carolina woman named Kya (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who's suspected of murdering a man she was once involved with. Midway through the haunting trailer, none other than Taylor Swift is heard singing, "You didn't see me here / But they never did see me here / There are places I would never, never go / Things that only Carolina will ever know."

"Where The Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago," she captioned her Instagram post sharing the trailer for the film, which hits theatres in July. "As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side."

She continued, "I wrote the song 'Carolina' alone and asked my friend @aarondessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerising story. You'll hear it fully soon, but for now check out the @crawdadsmovie trailer for a clip!"

"Where the Crawfords Sing" comes to us from Reese Witherspoon and her production company, Hello Sunshine. Witherspoon's previous book-to-screen adaptations include "Big Little Lies," "Wild," and "Little Fires Everywhere." Check out the new trailer for "Where the Crawfords Sing" above!
